Save Pinterest pins at their original size. Video pins too.
The original image behind a pin, not the preview, and the video behind a video pin, to your Downloads folder.
Pinterest shows you a resized preview and keeps the original for itself. Grablet is a browser extension that finds the original and saves that, from the pin you have open. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Free and unlimited. No account, no tracking, no watermarks.
Your browser will ask for access to websites. That is how Grablet sees media on the page you are on. Nothing is ever sent to us. Why it needs that
On Android, install Grablet in Firefox for Android. Also available on desktop Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Grablet is not available in Chrome for Android or Firefox on iOS.
How to save a Pinterest image or video pin
- Install Grablet from the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons or Firefox Add-ons. There is no sign-up.
- Open the pin on pinterest.com as you normally would. For a video pin, let it play for a moment.
- Click Save, on the post itself or in the Grablet popup, where everything on the page is listed by type and quality, best first.
The file lands in your Downloads folder, filed under the site’s name.
What it saves
- The original-size image behind a pin, which is usually much larger than the one on screen.
- Video pins as MP4, the best plain copy Pinterest serves. Where Pinterest offers only a stream, Grablet assembles it into one MP4, free until 9 March 2027, then three a day free or unlimited with Pro.
- Pins in your feed, in search and on boards, as you open each one.
- Pins you can see because you are signed in. Grablet only sees what your own browser has already loaded, in your own session.
What it won’t save
- Pins you have not opened or scrolled to. Pinterest loads them as you go.
- A whole board at once. Grablet saves the pins you open, one by one; it never crawls a board.
- Secret boards you cannot see. Nothing from them reaches your browser.
And, as everywhere: not YouTube, and nothing DRM-protected. Store policy in the first case, the law in the second. No setting unlocks either.
Questions
Why is the saved image bigger than the one on the page?
Pinterest shows a resized preview and keeps the original in its own storage. Grablet finds the original’s address in the page data and saves that.
Can I download a whole board?
No. Grablet saves what the page you have open has loaded. It never crawls a board, a profile or a feed on its own, and that is a rule, not a missing feature.
Does it save video pins?
Yes. Pinterest serves most video pins as a plain MP4, which saves free. When only a stream is offered, Grablet assembles it into one MP4 in your browser, free until 9 March 2027, then three a day free or unlimited with Pro.
Do I need to paste a link into a website?
No. Those sites fetch the image through their own servers and often hand back the preview. Grablet works from your browser, on the pin itself, and no third party is involved.
Does it work when I’m signed in?
Yes. It works on whatever you can see, because that is all it can see.
Private by construction
What you save never passes through us. Grablet finds the media, assembles a stream and saves the file inside your browser, needs no account, and never uploads anything. Its one server issues Pro licence keys and never learns what you save. The privacy policy is short because there is little to say.
Please only save content you have the right to keep, and respect the people who made it.
