Changelog
Every version the stores have published, newest first. Three lines each. The stores review at their own pace, so the version each carries can differ for a few days.
0.1.0.610 · 14 October 2026 · Chrome and Edge · Firefox as 0.1.0.611
- Most saved streams now come out as ordinary MP4 files that seek and play in more players, and HEVC or AV1 video whose sound arrives separately is now joined into one file too. MP3 and, with Pro, clips, GIFs and original-quality sound now work from disk, so very large videos no longer have to fit in memory, and MP3 no longer stops at twenty minutes.
- Large image galleries save as one ZIP, with each picture named by its real type. With Pro, a picture saved in evidence mode from the right-click menu is no longer named .mp4, and on desktop its record says what the picture’s own metadata declares about where it came from.
- On Chrome and Edge, as on Firefox since 0.1.0.582: Reddit videos get the Save button and files are named after the post, the Images tab saves what is ticked, and Settings shows the version. On Firefox, sound, and clips with Pro, now work for media that a page serves or holds itself.
0.1.0.582 · 12 October 2026 · Firefox
- Firefox for Android: saving works. Grablet hands each file to Firefox’s own “Download file?” prompt from the Save button on the page, from Grablet’s panel, and from Save all, one file per tap. Tap Download and the file lands in Firefox’s Downloads.
- Reddit videos get the Save button and files are named after the post. On Facebook Reels on Android, the Save button no longer hides under Facebook’s “Open app” button. The Images tab’s Save and ZIP act on the pictures ticked right now.
- On Firefox, LinkedIn can now be switched on from the popup like any other site, and Settings shows which version you are running.
0.1.0.564 · 11 October 2026 · Firefox
- Firefox for Android: Firefox does not yet let add-ons hand a file to its download manager, so a save could sit at “Starting…” forever. Desktop Firefox never had this problem.
- On Android, Grablet now says so within 15 seconds, and tapping again after that starts a new try instead of answering “Already saving”. Saving itself works from 0.1.0.582.
- If one part of Grablet fails to start, the rest still starts.
0.1.0.562 · 10 October 2026 · Firefox · Chrome as 0.1.0.559 · Edge as 0.1.0.561, by 13 October
- Batch download: select links on a page and choose Batch Download → Selected URLs from the right-click menu. Up to 100 queue on a page of their own, two at a time and one per website. The queue carries on with that page closed and across browser restarts, with Retry and Cancel for each link.
- Select text and save it as a highlight, kept with its page in the Library. Bookmark a whole page, post or video with its title and a thumbnail, and bring bookmarks in from Chrome, Edge or Firefox or take them out as an HTML file. With Pro, Private Bookmarks is a vault of its own, locked with a password and never synced.
- A System, Light or Dark theme, a language setting with nine languages for the popup’s main labels, and a choice of subtitle track. Beyond the built-in sites, Grablet’s Save buttons appear only on sites you switched on: a permission the browser holds for a batch link or your own cloud drive does not put them there.
0.1.0.498 · 28 September 2026 · Firefox · Chrome and Edge as 0.1.0.497, by 5 October
- Telegram: an album of videos is offered as videos, each with size, dimensions and length, instead of a row of small preview images; a video’s preview still is always called one, even after the browser has idled the background; and two videos that open on the same black frame stay two rows.
- Pages pay less for Grablet: a reels session keeps at most four captured clips and 400 MB between them instead of every clip watched; the scan that places Save buttons on Telegram Web and WhatsApp Web stops re-asking the same questions every 400 ms and runs nothing while the tab is hidden; and large saved files leave the page in tens of milliseconds per chunk instead of about a second.
- The save panel stops blinking, and responses already known to be over the size cap are no longer copied and decoded before being discarded.
0.1.0.490 · 23 September 2026 · Firefox
- Pro says what renewal is: a yearly licence renews by itself and a fresh key arrives by email, so the popup and Settings no longer offer a “Renew” link that would have started a second subscription, and a lapsed key says to paste the emailed renewal rather than buy again.
- On Telegram Web and WhatsApp Web, sound-only, clip and GIF are offered only where they work; the album picker counts distinct files, so “13 of 4 in this album” is gone; and WhatsApp Web is no longer described as unreadable.
- The popup’s Pro panel says stream assembly is free until 9 March 2027, and the YouTube and DRM refusal is now also checked at the one function every save passes through.
0.1.0.485 · 23 September 2026 · Firefox · Edge as 0.1.0.484, by 28 September
- Telegram: a video you have not played saves on the first click, a click never saves the neighbouring video that was already playing, and collecting an album no longer closes the chat you were reading.
- Videos assembled from streams scrub cleanly in VLC, and several saves at once each get their own progress row at the bottom right of the page.
- Saving a stream is free in the beta from every path, not just the popup; the file-name template is marked Pro; and the Save button on a post no longer mistakes “watch server” links for media.
0.1.0.466 · 17 September 2026 · Chrome and Edge · Firefox as 0.1.0.467, 10 September
- Settings has a page of its own: where files land, what the audio button produces and, with Pro, how files are named. Preferences follow you through the browser’s synced storage, and the popup says when a site is not being watched and offers to turn it on.
- Assembling a stream is free while Grablet is in beta, until 9 March 2027, and a new install gets a 90-day trial. The star is now called Bookmarks, and Get Grablet Pro sits in the popup’s footer.
- Fixes: a video served from a .htm or .php address is named by what it is; Telegram albums collect completely; two pictures in an X post no longer list as four rows; a zip that could fetch nothing says why; rows without a picture take one from the page.
0.1.0.129 · 3 September 2026 · Chrome
- Streams are assembled into one MP4 in the browser: video and audio joined, best quality chosen, with progress shown as it goes.
- TikTok and WhatsApp Web join the built-in sites; Facebook saves with its sound; audio-only save and send-to-phone arrive.
- The tab-closing half of download-click protection is now off unless you switch it on for a site.
0.1.0.76 · 2 September 2026 · Chrome
- Any site can now be switched on from the popup, one click, per site, off again whenever you like.
- Download-click protection, scoped to enabled sites, ships with the per-site switch.
- Built-in support for X, Instagram, Facebook and Telegram Web, with the in-page Save button.
0.1.0.36 · 1 September 2026 · Edge
- First Edge release: one-click saving on X, Instagram, Facebook and Telegram Web.
- The popup lists everything on the page by type and quality, best version first.
- Files are organised into Downloads/Grablet, filed by website.
